Rates

Al Shamsi cars are offered for a minimum of one day (24 hours). We quote our rates in UAE Dirham (Dirham- AED). Note that rates may change without prior notification.

Insurance

Our rates are inclusive of full insurance coverage. If there is any faulty accident, which may include HIT & RUN, among others, Al Shamsi Rent a Car is entitled a deduct an amount of AED 1000/- per accident.

Accidents

If your vehicle meets with an accident, please notify the police as soon as possible. Moving the vehicle before the arrival of police on the scene is an offence. Therefore, wait until the police arrive and issue a report. However, in cases of minor accidents vehicles can be moved to allow other motorists to drive safely.
Note that you must produce a police report for Al Shamsi Rent A Car to process your insurance claims. We will not be able to remit the accident cost in scenarios where police report is not submitted.

Terms Of Payments

All rental charges are payable in advance. At Al Shamsi Rent a Car we accept cash and all major credit cards. We take pre-authorization on the credit card at the time of rental payment for any payment towards SALIK (road toll charges) as well as traffic fines.

Salik Fee

For every travel through a SALIK in the UAE, a payment of A Dh 5 fee will be charged from the client.

Cross border policy

Vehicles rented from Al Shamsi Rent a Car are not allowed to be driven outside the UAE.

Mileage

Our vehicles are offered on pre-decided limited mileage for monthly and long term lease durations mutually agreed between the parties. We reserve the right to charge 50 fills per km for any mileage driven beyond the permitted/mutually agreed upon limit.

Additional Drivers

We allow our clients to add additional drivers in cases where Al Shamsi Rent A Car’s driver qualification requirements are adequately met.

Driving License

To rent an Al Shamsi car in Dubai, it is mandatory for all drivers to possess a driving license in conformity to the rules of the UAE. While local residents are required to present a valid UAE license, international visitors must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the country of their origin. Age / Delivery & Collection

To rent a car in UAE, you must be at least 21 years old.
Free of charge collection and delivery of cars within the UAE is available at Al Shamsi Rent A Car. While we make the best efforts to comply with your request, please note that the service is subject to availability of drivers at the time of the request.

Traffic Fines

We charge a Dh50 as fee towards administration expenses for every traffic and municipality fine incurred during an Al Shamsi car rental period.

Document required for Individual Clients

  • Individuals must present a valid UAE driving license copy (both sides).
  • Age of the driver must be 21 years or above.
  • Submission of a copy of Passport along with visa page that must contain an entry stamp.
  • Clients must deposit AED 1,000/- at Al Shamsi Rent A Car for future adjustments on various charges/expenses incurred during the rental period. The amount is refundable in full in cases where there is no outstanding.

Payments

  • In cases of rental contract termination before actual expiration of the lease/contact term, a penalty amount equivalent to three months charges will be levied.
  • At Al Shamsi Rent A Car we calculate the term of payment at one month lease charge. However, rental amount of 3 months must be paid in advance. Any balance amount is repaid to the client in cases where there is no pending payment to the end of the contract.
